Congrats!! I did the same a couple months ago and am honestly proud of myself for making the switch when people said it would be hard/impossible.
Have a LOT to learn but excited!

That’s awesome! I like to learn and will already be 100x more interested in the work compared to tax

Congrats!! Reading posts like this give me a bit of hope. Been wanting to make the change as well. Looking for something more exciting than tax. Good luck and be great 👍

Thank you!! You can do it 😁😁

Congrats, living the dream. Were you originally in tax m&a, compliance or specialty group? Also did you move internally or switch firms?

Associate. End goal - TBD 😁

That is one heck of a switch. Big congrats on overcoming the odds. It's gonna be a challenge but sounds like you are more than ready for it.

Associate level - should have time for growth/learning. Ready for it, indeed.

I am trying to do the same! If you have any advice lmk

I got internal referrals for the other three big 4 this week. Waiting for them to reach out!

Which companies have best WLB, least stressed DS/DA roles? I’ve been suffering from some immunology issues and stress from work would worsen it, therefore I want to move to a company/role with good benefit (esp. healthcare) and great WLB (little chance of PIP, etc). Doesn’t have to be high-paying, as long as it can support my life (single) and long-term medical cost. Thanks in advance.

Is it more worth it to go into FDD at a regional firm now, or hope that my current big 4 will transfer me come spring 2021?

I'm kind of in the mindset of only doing FDD at big 4, otherwise I'll go straight to industry. Am I being too down on mid-market FDD experience and the related exit ops?

Also, I can't go the route of doing FDD at a different big 4. Already got rejected by all of them cause I'm not in audit (but have CPA).
