It’s probably the least ethical type of company you can represent next to tobacco and big oil.

The medical insurance industry is the root cause of the problems in America’s healthcare system. It’s why healthcare and pharmaceuticals are so expensive. It’s why people unnecessarily die due to denials of coverage. It’s why families file for bankruptcy due to insurmountable medical bills. It’s a truly immoral industry. Look up vertical integration. Look up PBM/Payer consolidation. Look up Luigi Mangione. Working for a health insurance company or PBM is truly soulless. Nothing redeeming about it.

Hey everyone - I could do with some advice. Not sure what I am doing wrong, but I am having a hard time getting interview calls. I am trying to pivot from consulting to the industry and targeting project/program management roles. I have been doing this work for 7+ years now (total YOE 12 years) so certainly have the right skillset. I have tried a couple of referrals too but that didn’t help either. Any advice you guys could provide would be helpful. Thanks!

I have 2 earlier companies where I absconded.
Now i dont want to show those 2 companies on my resume, i have 1 years of experience with all documents and i am only using that on my resume. So will it be a problem during bgv?

Does anyone know how litigation finance works on the plaintiff side? If someone wanted to bring a lawsuit against their former employer would a general contingency arrangement with a plaintiff’s firm make sense? Or would one need to find funding and then contact a plaintiff’s firm to actually handle the case? I’m a transactional lawyer, so this is out of my wheelhouse.
