I’ve been trying to get into the top tier Associate Product Marketing Manager position Google for some time now for just an interview and I feel like business majors somehow have such a stronger chance in getting interviewed especially my business school and I feel really discouraged as an Econ Major and I have a lot of marketing experience that I’ve built over the years. Are there any non-business majors in the tech realm in non technical positions at Google that can advise me?

You can simply write a new lease updating the dates to the new term. If the tenant doesn't want to sign it, and stay month to month they could, unless you then give them notice to vacate in 30 days. I'd think they would sign an extension in most cases. At worst you can leave it month to month or find a new tenant.
Thank you!

I did this with a tenant. I gave notice under the original lease that I was terminating the agreement in x days and gave them the option to sign the new lease.

I assumed they would, but if they weren't willing to I was OK with them moving out.
Make sure you check the notice requirements in your state. For example, in California the landlord must give 60 days notice if the tenant has lived there for more than one year.
