See there is nothing wrong but for sake of your mental health if possible try to join after 1week. Go for a tour with your family in mean time and join with a fresh mind. Good luck.

I did the same 2 years back
I don't understand the doubt here. If you don't join a new company the next day after exiting from the old company, you will lose the earning for that day. What rule on earth can force you to forgo even 1 day of wages? This is common sense
My last working day was 14 and the joining date in the new company was also 14. I joined the new company the same day after leaving the current company

How are you managing the notice period?
Yes you can,i did same in aug..I joined my current company on 9th aug while my lwd for last company was 8th aug
No issues in such case from PF side etc, I did it 2 times. But only risk is if you take some leaves (sick etc) in current company and the LWD extends by a couple of days then the next company will have to adjust your DOJ accordingly. In my case, I kept the recruiter informed and in the last 2-3 days got my DOJ adjusted.
Absolutely; as long as the New Joining Date is after LWD, legally there is no problem.
But it's common and industry practice to take few days gap. As long as you are good to start immediately, this should not be a problem.
