What are some questions you always ask during your interview? I feel like I need to be asking more.

What do you typically ask now?
Some suggestions:
How is success measured
What is the company/manager’s preferred communication style
Describe the team/department collaboration/comm style
What are some examples of escalations you’ve received from past performers in this role
Describe some times past performers exceeded goals
What areas do you believe this role can take initiative vs needing to follow protocol by the book
What does onboarding look like
What training/tools will be available to me throughout

What would success look like for me after 6 months....a year....
What do you think I could bring to this role? (flip the script)
Do you have any concerns about my qualifications for this role that I can address?
What has someone in this role gone on to do at this company or elsewhere?
Why is this job available? Backfill? New contract? Growing company?
---if last answer is growing company, ask about work life balance or how they are managing the growth to ensure a good work life balance for all employees
What is one thing you wish you had known before starting your role here that you can share with me?
Is innovation and entrepreneurship welcomed in this role or is it more "by the book".....will I have a chance to carve out some of my responsibilities based on my skills and interests?
What do you wish I'd ask you about this role or this company? (flip the script again)
What's the best question someone has asked you in an interview? (this is a good one, it makes them think, it also allows you to use it in the next round)....
Ask questions about the growth of the role, how it can expand, what impact it can make, where the needs are, then in the next round, use those answers to your advantage and talk about how you are the person to do those things. Good luck!

I help with interviewing and some questions we get asked are:
What is the culture like?
What is the work life balance like?
What kind of training will be provided for the role?
What are some challenges your team is facing?
Would there be opportunity for advancement into other roles?

Does anyone have experience interviewing with Deloitte Internal Services? I had my final interview a week and a half ago, and received positive feedback throughout. The hiring manager had positive things to say and mentioned they hoped to make a decision by the end of last week. It’s now Friday the week after. The role still shows as “Interviews in Process.” We did discuss potential start dates, but no salary. Any experience with receiving offers for an internal services role? Is this common?

Hello Fishes, I interviewed at a company in October and they responded to me after a month. I accepted the verbal offer last week Wednesday. They said they would give written offer in a week. I have recruiters from the same company reach out for positions at different locations. My current recruiter said once I accept this I can't interview for other positions at the same company. Their process is so slow that I don't really want to miss out on any chance. What would be a great time to follow up?

Had an interview for an associate position at Citi. Interviewee was based in London and I’m in NYC. The only interview time that worked was 6am. I was barely functioning and feel like I truly messed up in my answers because I couldn’t not think clearly. I have another with the head of the division next week again at 6am (pre determined before this interview). It was also hard because the division’s core work is private enough that there was not much prep I could do beforehand. Tips?

I had a panel interview two weeks ago. I sent the recruiter a status check email last Friday and haven't heard back. I'm really interested in this company and still see the role posted on their site. I'd like to send another email today (to the hiring mgr and recruiter) reiterating my interest along with a list of references. Thoughts on sending the references without them asking? I don't do well with panel interviews and I'm hoping they look past that and check my references.

Had my 2nd interview with the hiring manager this past Friday & sent a thank you shortly after. It's now Tuesday (for those who see this on another day). At the end of the interview he said they've had other people who were interested but only one other person besides me were they considering. Said he would talk to his team and possibly have me fly out to meet in person. How long should I wait to follow up without seeming pushy? Also welcome any other tips to separate me from other candidate.

I have an interview coming up with Church & Dwight. When the recruiter emailed me with 3 interview times I thought he was asking me what time works best. Random, but valid/persistent thought.

After 2 years of a pandemic and working independently for many years, I am not feeling interviews AT ALL. There are points in the interview where I want to just say "Look! Either hire me or don't".

How can I get over this feeling? I'm over the whole "stand in the line of fire to prove how good I am" bs. Any recommendations for getting over this or possible industries to pivot into to avoid bs interview processes and ghosting?

I started interviewing early Oct with a company that reached out via recruiter. The hiring manager was very straight forward with me that I was his top candidate and I was told all other interviews were very positive incl CMO. Meanwhile I'm taking other interviews and was offered a promotion at current company, but was very interested in this one. What would you do?
