Of course, if you are going to work in radio at the controls, there is no problem if you have an accent.
I think that even if you have an accent you can work in radio, you can even speak. Your accent will attract people's attention and make you stand out.
If you want to work as a DJ, I think it only depends on your musical tastes, so if you want to work in a station it must go hand in hand with your style.
In my opinion it all depends on the radio station, if your accent is Latin, the most common thing is that you work in a Latin station, and so on, therefore I invite you to find something that suits you.
You must analyze the radio stations before applying, as you are a DJ, let's suppose that you are of Caribbean rhythms, then you cannot work in a purely northern station. It's all a matter of knowing who you are and where you're going.
It all depends on the area where you are looking for jobs, if it is an area open to dealing with immigrants, your accent can be a hook to attract new listeners, although it is also very difficult for you as a DJ to speak into the microphone.
