Can I work from another state on L1 without a new application or do I need to apply for an amendment before I can work from another state?

I have got an offer for Malaysia from HTC Global for 42 LPA in Indian currency. I have got an offer from alstom, Bangalore in hand as well for 27 LPA. I think if I get an offer in India for around 32-35 LPA, i should prefer staying in India but I need 1-2 months of time to be in that position. HTC is pushing for sending passport as they need to get it stamped. Any suggestions from anyone on how to handle this scenario?
