Herman Miller embody if you're willing to drop $2K
Agree to look at the office liquidators. I got my Herman Miller for $300. Best investment ever!
Check Facebook marketplace in your area for Herman Miller or steelcase if your price range is set in stone. But if it’s not I’d recommend investing in a quality chair you’re going to spend between 40-80 hours a week in it. Your back will thank you!
Price isn't really set but I think you just convinced me to splurge. My back and hips have been screaming at me to invest in something else.
I bought a mesh chair at staples for 250 2 years ago. It has has been fine.
Rising Star
This one was recommended on another thread. https://www.staples.com/staples-hyken-technical-mesh-task-chair-silver-53293/product_24328579
Recommend Herman Miller as well. I have an Aeron I got for around $400 used from a liquidator. Best money I’ve spent. Used hours every day for like 2 years now
Following for recs, and will give you a recommendation to stay away from chairs like the one on this link. Not super comfy and I had to buy a lumbar pillow last busy season. Also pretty bulky and doesn’t fit with smaller desks. Not the worst chair, but hope you can find better

Costco. You can get an nice office or gaming chair (has more back support)
For under $200
I had a Staples Hyken mesh chair back in the day. It was fine for about 4-6 hours for middle-aged me. After a few months of WFH due to 'rona, I upgraded to a Steelcase Gesture, because I was in my chair 14ish hours a day during tax season, Zoom calls with family, etc. and my shoulders were killing me. The Steelcase was worth the price I paid, but if your budget is limited, I think most people would be fine with a Hyken.
I recommend the steelcase leap v2 and herman Miller aeron. I have one of each and got them for ~$400 on fb marketplace. The leap v2 is for sure more comfortable than the aeron, but less aesthetically pleasing
