Anyone feel like their job gives them severe anxiety issues that you've never had before?

I used to have MAJOR anxiety issues. One time I thought I will die at work. Felt like a heart attack. Not any more. I read the book called the life changing magic of not giving a f*** and it helped me to change my perspective with this job. I absolutely love my job. But I learned to put myself and my health first. I do my absolute best at work and don't worry too much about stuff beyond my control.

I had really bad anxiety after summer busy season of last year, and it lasted for over 6 months, I didn't know what it was because I never experienced it before, but my family basically said it was anxiety. As soon as I knew what the issue was I started praying about it everyday, thanked Jesus in advance and welcomed His love into my heart all over again. I read the bible daily, and tried hard to think of positive thoughts and meditated on them. I also, meditated on Phillipians 4:6-8. Which says to be anxious for nothing but make known your needs to God and He will give you peace that will surpass all understanding. ( I know not everyone believes in the same Faith I do, but that is how I got through it and it truly works) won't hurt.

yes- i have thoughts racing in my head every night before workdays

All day every day (ex-Big4 here)... doesn't change much when you go mid-tier firm either. That's public accounting for you. Meditation and exercise do help.

If it worked for me, it will work for everyone. ☺️

I have had that at my first job. It was a combination of multiple things such as evil partners, managers and hostile work environment. I didn't want to get out of bed in the morning to go to work and was praying that I want to quit. I had to get onto anti depressants to get through the season. It was truly awful time of my life. I left that job a few years ago and now I am happy and able to work and have a normal work life balance and respectful co workers. I am still on medication though.

Does anyone feel like they don’t want to go back to normal? On the one hand, absolutely I want to. I miss seeing friends, dressing up, going out, and traveling for work. On the other hand I have saved so much money over the past year, spent a lot more time with family than I would have ever been able to, and actually rested and been able to focus on my wellness (started therapy and treatment for a chronic condition.)
