"Risk hai, to Ishq hai", is an invalid statement in the context of real life relationship of a common man.
The correct statement should be opposite, "Ishq hai, to risk hai".
Ishq comes with lots of risk like "family nahi manegi", "caste different hai" etc.
"Risk se ishq" is only suitable for adventures professionals like stunts man, surgeons, surgical strike commandos, encounter specialists etc.

Do you really think someone with zero FDD experience can manage a Senior Associate with 3+ years of FDD experience?
Internally, yes. Externally, unlikely. But even if u get a transfer internally from B4 audit to B4 FDD Manager, it’s a super tough transition. Some don’t even last, I’ve seen it happen. They went back to audit or industry.
IMO, better to join as a senior and push hard for Manager promo after a year or two.
Very helpful, thank you!
I don’t think that’s possible
Highly doubt it, if they do it’s likely be a dumpster fire in waiting
Plenty of people transfer at manager level but a lot have struggled.
I transferred as an M1. The year I did it another colleague did so as well (no longer with the firm). Have also seen it happen again recently.
Yeah I've see two Managers come in from Audit, and are now directors. It is a tough transition though
Yeah correct.
I transferred at manager 1 level. I know someone that transferred at senior manager level. It happens. Tougher at higher levels.
I transferred just when I got promoted to manager. Transaction team was great. Essentially let me have manager title but treated me as a senior until I got my hearings. Still hit normal senior manager promo time.
would not recommend unless your super smart. know two that did that and got fired within two years
We’ve had managers, SM and PPMDs transfer in to FDD. I myself came in as a new partner.
It’s going to depend heavily on the individual’s skill set, especially analytical, ability to problem solve, understanding of business issues/ability to translate why an accounting issue impacts the deal, etc.
Some do well and others don’t but the same is true with everything. Not every senior in FDD has what it takes to make it to manager or SM either. The biggest challenge you have with coming in as a manager or SM into FDD is that you’re often expected to be running the deal while also trying to learn the ropes. If you’re on a larger transaction with multiple managers then it can be a little easier as someone else can be directing the different streams of work while you’re knee deep in trying to get up to speed.
