Mutual funds are not the issue. You can't directly buy a share of a company if you are categorised as a sensitive employee
First of all, thanks for the response.
So, just to confirm, if we’re only buying mutual funds through Zerodha, we don’t need to close the account, right?
Mutual funds are open ended funds where you don’t directly invest in direct company stocks hence it’s totally safe to invest in Mutual funds via any platform.
Thanks for the response. But can we still hold mutual funds in the Zerodha demat account if we’re not investing in stocks? I’m asking because I heard Citibank doesn’t allow Zerodha, and they might ask you to close the account and move both equity and mutual fund holdings to another broker.
Bhai, Zerodha is not allowed. How can you hold mutual funds in Zerodha Coin
For MF no need to close any account.
On a different note, let me tell you one secret though. If you don’t declare by yourself nobody I repeat NOBODY would be able to trace your investments or trading activities either you do it via zerodha or any other platforms since these are PII data, until you’re involved in some fraudulent activities such as insider trading, terror funding etc.
Rest upto your courage and determination to provide this false information to your employer.
Since, Zerodha is not allowed. How can you hold mutual funds in Zerodha Coin?
Thanks for the information
