Can we talk about how Star Citizen's slower TTK actually makes the FPS combat more fulfilling?

Slower TTK leaves more room for debilitating damage states for the player, which increases the overall stakes of the fight. It also encourages team play, as players run out of bandages/stims/ammo to stay in the fight.

I think they hit the sweet spot on that one, and are an example to take note of.

Might be the wrong bowl but finding it extremely difficult to focus on work post busy season. It’s been 2 weeks since we filed and I’m still taking lots of naps and breaks (I’m talking like 3-4 cumulative hrs worked during the day). Idk if I’m taking longer to recover from busy season bc I’m getting old or if I’m over public accounting (but then where do i go). Tried to schedule time with a therapist but everyone has a months-long waitlist so next step might be trying to find a life/career coach

I am a small first time Indie director working on a project with a few people. Our studio is called AfroDuck Studios and we are working on a first time 2.5D action adventure RPG. Does anyone have stories working on their first project with new teams and how did you overcome your hurdles with meeting deadlines and such?

I’ve been doing autocad design for 5 years now, and though it’s cool, it’s not what I want to do with my life. How can I break out of this and into game design? I find creating stories, monsters, characters, levels, maps, etc infinitely more interesting than utilities underground.
