How is the work life balance at IBM?
Anybody else working in the energy industry?
Hi, Need some suggestions on career switch. I'm currently working as a firmware developer in Radar SW (2yrs of experience), recently I got a opportunity to switch as pre/post silicon validation engineer at Qualcomm with good package and RSU's. I would like to switch. Any thoughts on my decision? Thanks.

I did a chatGPT prompt asking what the worst consulting firm is and it came up with Guidehouse
Chief
I did bro
I didn't get your output ever
I think you're just mckinsey bashing .... which isn't really nice cause they're just trying to keep the ship afloat and do right by their people and the American people just like the rest of us
Status in what?
No status in both if were being honest. Take the one that pay you the most
I’ve been at CapTech for a few years. It’s a great company and the people are nice! I think I’m compensated fairly and have good WLB. Don’t know how we compare to Guidehouse.
That’s good to know! A recruiter reached out to me today
I've worked in the consulting industry for 20+ years, and while not perfect, CapTech is a great place for its smart and dedicated people + work/life balance (albeit when measured against other firms). They heavily invest in training, and employees have a lot of opportunities to cross-support multiple projects and practice areas. I'm going on my 7th year here and wouldn't stay if I didn't think the company wasn't invested in its people and culture.
Any opportunities for a referral 👀 recruiter never got back to me
I would say certain industries at guidehouse are better but overall maybe cap tech
