Career changer trying to break into boutique consulting. What do people wish they knew before making the switch?

Hi, I’m currently working in Business consulting at EY India. I am keen to practice consulting in the Middle East. Does anyone know which mgmt consulting firms offer visa sponsorships and the best way to reach out to them?

I came across this company called 'My Consultation Offer' which takes expertise in training you for the above and have a 85% success rate. The package for interview prep, Bootcamp and case study prep is $3497. Should I take it? Don't wanna spend ages on youtube looking at wrong content and wasting time. I am currently final year student at University of Bristol, applying for management consulting roles at MBB and beyond. I don't have any experience of case study interviews and Cover letter prep

I interviewed at KPMG on 11/14 and got a verbal offer the next day but since then waiting to hear from them. Been following up continuously but the partners are not replying it seems. In the meanwhile i have an offer from BT offering 90k for 4 yrs of experience which seems to be fair. I am just unsure whether to accept the offer as I was waiting for kpmg reply as I want B4 on my resume which apparently is a big deal. Is BT also good on resume for future employers ??

Help!! My bestfriend is doing two months abroad and was trying to fly into turkey when they told her she couldn't because her passport expired within three months.

She went to the US Embassay in Athens knowing she had a month left of traveling, and gave her an emergency passport and punched holes in her exsisting one. Now no country will let her in with her emergency passport.

Can her mom get her a passport in the US and ship it to her? Is there anyway around this?

Anyone have any friends who successfully pivoted out of advertising? I know a handful of people who are half-trying to, but I can’t think of anyone who has made a clean break, on their own terms, into something that appears to be making them feel more fulfilled than they were in the ad biz. So they continue freelancing in order to make a living, while not gaining much traction elsewhere.

Has anyone on here moved from IB to management consulting as an experienced hire? How do you view the decision in retrospect?

I am 25 years old - have been in the ‘mortgage underwriting profession for 2.5 years. I have heard some things about getting stuck in a specific assets class and mortgages when pursuing underwriting. I wanted to see if anyone has successfully exited mortgage underwriting and if there are any exit opportunities with more growth potential in real estate or finance. Would love any input!

I’ve been working in finance strategy / transformation consulting for the last two years and would like to pivot into construction project management. Looking to get some insights of if something like this is even feasible or if anyone else has done something similar.

Are there any careers you would say an individual can pivot to from acquiring a decade of customer service? No BA or masters. Have a diploma in Audio Production and Engineering which is pretty niche. Any advice?

I have been in Recruiting and HR for 11 years and thinking about making a career move. Ild love to hear from anyone that’s made a career move from HR to a different role.

My contract is close to ending with a verbal offer on table to stay for 30k. I am looking for something more techanical in the engineering field that matched my abilities more. Is it worth the move even if I don't have anything lined up. Personally don't think I can handle job and applying all at same time due to increased anxiety.
