I would suggest finding an artful way to get to the same destination. Putting them on the spot could rub them the wrong way. But, if you can ask what their ideal candidate is, what they hope this hire brings to the table, a problem he hopes they can solve, what success looks like to them at the end of the candidates first week, month, and year., Etc. then you can respond by explaining why that’s you.
That, and letting them know that you love their (specific) work and want to do that kind of work, and are willing to move mountains to do so should, in combination, make you seem pretty hawt.
Me too. Good luck!
CCO chat would assume you are nearly at the offer stage.
I would recommend getting them talking about what they enjoy. “What’s the dreams for the agency this year?” “Which opportunities are you most interested in digging into on [insert brand name here].”
A question phrased in that way sounds like you’re trying to seduce your way in.
Can you elaborate? What sort of task I need to do to make the hiring happen? And what can I do to help them with their task?
I’m sure they already assume you have some kind of interest in working there.
Just make a good impression, ask a lot of questions that show you’re interested in your craft and their agency, and keep in touch with them going forward.
Yes, I did say my interest in my email to them. How do you keep in touch with them, especially if it’s a CCO we’re talking about?
Coach
When they ask, "do you have any questions for me"
Respond with, "when do I start?"
Might be too cocky ha!
