After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

Never accept a good title for lower pay and expect to work your wage up once you get the role . It will take a very long time to meet your goals. That strategy won’t work. Always work the other way around . Take higher pay even if lower title but not lower pay for higher title. Believe me, I’m pretty close to retirement age so I’m giving you an advice from older professional perspective.
Don’t settle with the expectation of eventually moving into a higher level role and more compensation. Whatever you anticipated making, make sure you negotiate for it. Also be aware that pay banding is wide so even at a new C-level, your pay may not necessarily be what you can secure in another company.
Bottom line, whatever job you take, perform. Make sure you go beyond the roles expectations and establish your value. Get visibility and network so that you can open those doors to move up within the organization.
Side note. Titles in banking are opposite from what you see in traditional corporate organizations. Traditionally the order will be to move from a Director to a VP. In Banking you move from a VP —> SVP —> Director, etc.
Do research and you would know that Citi had had layoffs, reorganizations, flattening of organization, elimination of many roles
So
Head count growth is not in the cards for the next few years.
Many leaders are being told to take. Laterals to expand skill set.
For any available promotion there are at least 4 people worthy of promotion and a few more willing to take a lateral.
the C-14 bonus target is 15% of salary
Getting to C-15 is very very difficult for a while
So
Expect to stay at your pay and c-level for at least 4-5 years.
Anyone telling you otherwise is lying
What's the C13 bonus target?
That’s a low offer. Am not sure about WILM but overall it’s towards lower end of C13 new joiner Average. Forget to get to C14 for at least 3-5 years.
Neeever accept a lower pay. Moving from bank to bank you MUST receive a pay bump.
Which city?
Seems ok for wilm. NY should’ve been higher.
That’s low. We’ve hired many c13s (TBE) in the New Castle office, most of whom started in the 130-140s
VP is an officer title. Means nothing unless you're an entry level analyst
Vp is 5+ years of experience, its not a senior title.
Seems low. Wife is a C14 at 185k
Dallas
What is your year # experience ? Over 10?
Super low. I negotiated to $145K last year at Citi for VP in Tampa. I didn’t take the offer though.
I make that as a sr analyst. It’s definitely low
Citi has recently capped the amount of annual increase all employees can get and also capped the amount of pay increase you can get from one C level to the next. I think it’s around 12%.
