Three of the last five business days I’ve been at my desk (in office) before 6:00 am, and honestly I’m starting to love it. Does Globant terminates the employment of certain trainees after their probation(3 Months) based on their performance in the training period? Some of the fresher trainees were laid off this morning without giving a notice or reason.

We were told that the probation period is a training period & not an elimination one. It was shocking as a few of those trainees were actually good.

Have an interview with a company I really want to work for tomorrow. My last job I was laid off b/c of an acquisition&recently accepted a job at a diff company b/c I couldnt afford not to. I got this invite shortly after. The place I’m interviewing at the job wouldn’t start til next year. I dont want to seem like a job hopper. Do i tell them I’m at a new role or just not bring it up? The acquisition was public so they can see Im no longer employed with the most recent work history on my resume

Joined Blind over a month ago, and what an eye opener it has been. Tech salaries are insane. Even with the recent tech pull back and layoffs, some of the comps are on a whole another level. Friends in tech say, most layoffs have involved non-engineers (sales,HR, Ops,mrktng etc). Dudes in their late 20s pulling in 350k+. Unreal.

And then I look at my TC/bonus and a sense of disappointment washes over me. Short of becoming a partner, I don't think I can pull these numbers that tech bros post up.

I have 7 plus experience in c++. I am trying new job within Chennai location but I am getting 1 or 2 interview calls for a month. I know c++ is old language and openings are very less and competitor people also less.
