Cognizant I got the offer letter from Cognizant which I 50K less in fixed pay than what was commited by HR. I called HR and he said he forgot to increase and will get the approval that's not the big deal. He advised to me to accept the offer and start uploading docs for BGV, as new offer letter will take 24 hours to approve and come. Shall I trust him to wait before accepting offer.

I have a question regarding taxation of joining bonus.

I recieved a joining bonus of 1 lakh from my previous employer in last fiscal year which was taxed.
I resigned from the organisation before completing 1 year... Which will be deducted from my last month salary.

Just venting. College friend (same ethnicity but came to US with family as a kid) told me she might get a new job offer w a smaller firm, 50% pay bump. We currently work at comparable big firms but her pay is already higher than mine (hers include stocks, mine doesn’t). We did equally well in college & I know I’m just as smart. Can’t help but feel like my career’d have been much better if I did not need sponsorship. Smaller firms don’t sponsor so I work at a big firm but pay isn’t great 🙄

One of the team member has applied leaves for continuous 3 days this month. Later she applied for a 15 days leave saying a medical emergency.
