Bain & Company Boston Consulting Group is too slow. For anything you wanna do inside the organization, 12 months of tenure is required. Even for promotions its the same no matter hoew exceptionally you perform.
Whereas Bain & Company has no such minimum tenure requirement. My colleague got promoted in 4th months of joining right out of college.
Give me 1 reason why I should accept the offer from BCG?
Thought I'd share another leadership opportunity, this time for industry leaders in the Tech & Digital sector. Would love to connect with anyone who is a senior leader (MD / SVP) with deep experience in this sector alongside leadership experience in a TA / Growth or Client Relationship environment. Amazing opportunity to further establish and grow our presence with global leaders in Tech.

Don’t worry about it. Sponsorship does put some limitations on our journey but it also makes us tough, resilient and prepare us for difficult situations too. You will get your turn on good opportunities and pay hikes! All the very best!

I had to pass on better pay positions because of sponsorship and I've been on a visa for seven years. Hang in there
I guess everyone can relate to this. Forget about the pay, even some positions where the work is exactly your type gets passed on because of sponsorship issues and that’s where it hurts me the most but it is what it is. End of the day, we just have to do whatever is in our hands and honestly, if you look at the bigger picture, we are still doing quite well compared to most.
If it makes you feel any better my US employer messed up my visa to the point where I had less than two weeks to leave the country, and now I’m back home earning 60% the salary of what I would’ve earned if I had gotten to stay in NYC.

That's horrible. I'm sorry that happened to you!
Chill. Been there. Things get easier after you get your H1B, but this will be a struggle. Accept it and aim for biggies who pay way more if that’s your only concern
This happened to me so many times.
It’s common dude, we all are in the same boat. Think about it this way, you are getting an opportunity to work in a country where you don’t hold the citizenship or PR in. Be a bit more grateful, everyone’s life is different.
Same.
Had to pass up on a position with 40% pay rise and 10% bonus, with possibility of being a partner in 3 - 5 years at a startup bcoz of this. 😭
Be happy that you have a sponsorship! There are lots of "smart" people who can't obtain sponsorship in their country of choice.
