Hello fishes. Need your suggestions. I have worked at Accenture for 2 yrs as a software developer and due to interest in core side, took training in Rv-Vlsi and placed in capgemini as PHYSICAL DESIGN ENGINEER . And it's been 9 months, I didn't get any project. I am much frustrated as I am wasting my imp time. I'm regretting now of leaving Accenture :( Can you give me suggestions on what to learn in this free time? Intel Corporation Qualcomm MediaTek Synopsys Inc. Advanced Micro Devices Inc.

Nope - not women friendly. We get pushed out and there aren’t enough of us in Leadership partners position to advocate. The ones we do have in leadership are there because they are one of the boys.
FSO is a very different org than the rest of EY. I am in Busibess Consulting and not FSO so whatever I share about culture wouldn't be,as relevant. FSO usually performs very well in the market. EY in general is the most woman-friendly firm that I have worked at (I have another B4 + 3 F100 corporate experience). The last year however things have been harder financially so some people feel scared to take the time-off so they don't lose their account, revenue,...
I had a good experience taking maternity leave but that was 15+ years ago and the firm and culture has changed a lot since then. Elbows are much sharper now and lot depends on the practice (the 12/14 might give you a sense of the ratio). Coming in as a DAP is challenging too so I would make sure you understand the team, management / reporting line and expectations.
Did you end up joining? There is a lot of flexibility generally, and FSO is woman friendly. It always has been. People expect results but don’t micromanage. It’s been a strong performing sector and region for EY for years and years. Yes the couple recent years have been challenging but that’s true for the whole of the industry as consulting pivots and the consulting model changes.
