Could use some help with an awkward dynamic.

My Dept has been tapped to help another dept promote a DEI study. The client dept has hired a consultant in this area. The challenges I see with this consultant's work style:

-dominating conversations
-micromanaging things outside her area
-steering things toward her own promotion over our company's agenda
-people in my dept (mostly white) are visibly uncomfortable and reluctant to interrupt or contradict her (black woman)

The project is not getting our best work and may miss its objectives. Any talking points to keep us on track without seeming like we're just being difficult, indifferent white people?

What are the objectives?

Recruit participants for a study. This sometimes gets conflated with the consultant's goal to raise awareness of the topic in general. Cynically, this will help the consultant get more bookings, but the risk is it will dilute our efforts to accomplish the other objective.

Best practices would be to norm a working style that is acceptable for both parties. It is also ok to ask the consultant how their leadership style embodies DEI practices. Communication is always key.

I have 2yrs 4 months total exp. Being a fresher was put up with support project. I worked as support analyst for Oracle HCM cloud (Fusion). It has been few weeks since I was moved to new team in same tech.

Request for guidance at this point as I don't see any growth due to proj contract issues,internal politics.
Is there opportunities in Oracle fusion or should I switch Testing?
I need to upskill on either of the two to look for a switch.

How to professionally break manipulative work relationships with your co workers and management?


I am new to the team and i am facing lots of issues while doing my workspace setup.I have 3 yrs of experience and all of the guys in my team are atleast 7+ yrs. My team ( 6 onshore+2offshore including me) = 8

You know how most office cultures ignore minor ettiquette for ease of use? Like, sending a joke in an email to other org members for example. You're not technically supposed to but everyone does it. Well, now my boss is coming down on me--and only me--for this kind of stuff. I can't imagine HR would be sympathetic because they are actual rules. Should I just leave? I've certainly thought about it.


I’m 12 weeks pregnant (and very excited for it!) and not super loving my job, but was planning to stick it out for the maternity leave. Hi, I got an offer from oracle as software engineer. Offered package was 17.91LPA including pf (17 fixed )

My YOE: 3.6.

CCTC: 10.5

Tech Stack: Java, Spring Boot, Microservices.

Is this good or do I need to renegotiate. Will they consider for negotiating I have another offer with 19.1LPA(16.7 fixed and 2.4 variable). I was not having any offer when i first interviewed with oracle but by the time they released offer letter i got another offer with above (19.1LPA). @Oracle


Is Deloitte the only Big 4 to do one promotion a year? If you miss your chance , you have to wait a year instead of the 6 months at other firms?
