Could use some help with an awkward dynamic.

My Dept has been tapped to help another dept promote a DEI study. The client dept has hired a consultant in this area. The challenges I see with this consultant's work style:

-dominating conversations
-micromanaging things outside her area
-steering things toward her own promotion over our company's agenda
-people in my dept (mostly white) are visibly uncomfortable and reluctant to interrupt or contradict her (black woman)

So am I naive for wanting to develop friendships with my coworkers? It seems like everyone has a life outside of work and as much as we talk about being collaborative and teamwork, no one on my team actually wants to develop friendships. Is it pointless? Like I don't want to waste my time but I do think the work culture would be more enjoyable?

What is ideal package for a project manager with 7+ years of experience in IT firm

I’m currently working on my first UX project for an online course and I like my topic but I don’t know if it’s too much or impractical. I don’t want to waste my time but I think it’s a solid idea🤷‍♀️. If anyone is willing to hear it out before I start that’d be nice.

If you asked to be considered for early promotion and didn’t get it (despite being highly rated, exceeding billable goal, etc) would you look elsewhere? Is it right to be angry about it? I don’t want to spin myself up unnecessarily if it’s unjustified

My work quality is slipping due to brain fog and mental health issues and I don’t know how to address it with my firm or who to go to. I was considered one of the best associates in our practice group, but now it can take me 3-4x the time to write an average brief. I can’t seem to think and organize my thoughts any more. Has anyone had a Manager that does not work well with your ADHD? Im going through this right now and the way they communicate doesn’t match what I need. If I ask questions, they huff and puff. But then get upset if something is done and it doesn’t meet their exact expectations. It’s sucks that I don’t have enough interest to continuously focus on the projects, but now I have even less motivation because I dread dealing with my manager.

I got an offer with TCS and initially selected joining date as Jan 2.. but current org released me in 1 month instead of 3 months.. I asked TCS HR and others for early Onboarding but they didn't respond well..

Got written up by my admin for sending a PSA to teachers to call a trans student by their correct name and pronouns. Says I “didn’t follow the chain of command for Title IX issues.” For context I teach in the south and my admin says they legally “don’t recognize transgenders.” Any advice?

I have a GSA, but we accept any student who finds themselves on the fringes. We all know that LGBTQIA students are often marginalized, but my kids are loud and proud. Our mission statement is “To give all students a safe place.” I am very proud of my GSA kids.

Does anyone have tips on preparing for DEI interviews? I have looked at DEI behavioral questions online. Not sure what else I can do.
