I gave interview in Amazon and cleared all the rounds , then went on hold and still on hold due to hiring freeze in that departement. HR does respond and update me when reached out.
Interesting thing which happened here is iam cracking each every product based interviews now after my tough preparation for Amazon and getting higher packages than what Amazon would give. So whatever happens , happens for good. Cheers Amazon

I’ve handed the offer to my current employer at the time and asked if there is anything that can be done about it. I expressed my desire to stay with the company in X or Y role but given the significant higher pay I must consider the offer. Ask if they can match and if the answer is no, what is the closest they can get to. If they aren’t willing to do any of the above or give you benefits and else then you may be better off leaving as you’re probably not being valued enough. Only once was I given a “we cannot reach that number and it would be difficult for us to get anywhere close. If this would have a heavy impact in your finances, I’d encourage you to take the offer.” and I respected how upfront they were about it and took it.
Can I first ask why you're not interested in obtaining the higher salary? Is it the position, or the company, or just the salary itself?
Go for it. They may not agree to match the higher salary level, but there is always a place to fiddle at least 5-10% more (depending on the role might be much higher).
Salary offer is just that - an offer, feel free to negotiate
