Someone less than 1 year of experience earns $69k. I’m also PHR certified and have 5+ years of progressive experience in all functions of HR. What does it take to go from mid-level to senior level as an in-house brand designer? I'm just beginning year 4 of being mid-level, with ~5 YOE total. Hoping for some advice. I made partner last year. Before making partner, I was pretty close with a couple associates and my legal assistant. People are telling to go for the industry role then but I kind of still want to be in consulting for a few more years. I don’t think I could make this up. Interviewed with a recruiter, hiring manager, in house counsel, legal staff. I was told I was in final and was asked to supply half a dozen references who all submitted written recs. No decision so I was asked to interview with in house clients. Company still can’t make a decision so I am being asked to submit my final overall desired comp package. Mind you - this is not an AGC, DGC, or GC role, and not even F500 company. Thoughts? Is this normal now?

Hi, I recently had an interview for an Analyst role in VCA. I didn’t do too well in the case study but feel confident in the behavioral/situation interviews. I got the answer but still stumbled a bit during. How are my chances if my case study interview was not strong but other interviews were? Are post-MBA exits from MBB actually as good or easy as they’re perceived to be? It seems like everyone is walking out for 15-30% (or more) TC bump, with better WLB at great companies - is it really as easy as just sliding right into places like FAANG and whatnot? Or do folks from MBB also struggle with exit opps and leveling and whatnot?

Currently 2 YOE at 125k TC working in a specialized area of Workday consulting. Expecting to clear $170k TC by 4 YOE. I am debating pivoting to a strategy role before becoming too pigeonholed, but would have to take a pay/level cut.
