Washington state, I make $108, masters + 90, 14 years experience. Our cost of living is super high here, so that is why the price hike for us, however it hasn't always been comparable. In the past, a teacher needed to be in a dual income family in order to make a living. Now you can be single and afford to live. It's great!
After 21 years, I’m making 128k, BS + single subject secondary credential. No Masters. No Ph.D. There’s a higher COL in SoCal, and as a single person, no kids, no fam, I feel like I’m living quite decently! Definitely live within my own means!
CA and other coastal states pay teachers very well! Can’t complain! 🙃
First year teacher in my high school district makes $62,890. I’m in my 33rd year and make almost $135,000. Our district is the highest paid high school district (9-12 only) in CA. We are in Bakersfield, CA.
University or education credits. I think each column is 30 or 60
$63k base salary + $7800 TSS (extra money from the state) + $3000 stipend for teaching in a high need area.
20 years experience, master's degree
How many years do you have? Do you have a graduate degree? Or grad credits? If so how many?
I don’t pay attention. I have a couple of extra sources of income and cost of living is OK is extremely low. So I’m living it up. ;)
Retired at 109K in Michigan
$114,000 20 years MS+60 in PA
Well the cost of Living isn't bad in Gadsden County. So with my husband's salary is a fairly good living.
I’m a high school teacher in NV, been teaching for 6 years, currently making 79k I only have a BS degree. I should be making low 6 figures in about 4 years. In addition to that, I might be working as a CNA part time this year to bring in an extra 20k a year.
Well, I'm in the middle of Illinois, have been teaching for seven years, and I'm still only earning $58,254 a year. I know some teachers in the bigger cities make between $60 to $70k.

Given that the state minimum is 40K, making 58 at year 7 is pretty darn good.
I'm willing to bet your cost of living is quite a bit less than teachers making 60-70K as well, so it's all relative.
I'm 56 years old. I've only been teaching 6 years and I make $42, 000 in eastern North Carolina! Without national boards or Masters in your field, you top out at 55,000
I've been teaching 23 years and make low to mid 60s. In a district nearby I was making upper 50s.
