Currently a cyber M at big 4 (top performer), want to apply as experienced hire at MBB but preferably get into general consulting track and not cyber expert track. Do you guys know if I’d be coming in as an A or can be at a higher level considering I have 10 yrs exp.

Would would a senior product manager do over and beyond a product manager. We don’t have any seniors at my startup and I’m trying to figure out what I need to do/achieve to get promoted. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Working on some law firm applications tonight and it sucks that I know that I am so capable and have a strong work ethic but firms can’t see beyond grades or the fact that I didn’t go to a t14 law school or prestigious undergrad. I’ve worked twice as hard and feel like I’ve barely even gotten half as much. It’s discouraging sometimes especially because I worked so hard with pretty much no guidance (first gen, poc, low-income) to get into college and do well and then get into a t30 law school

Is IB worth the sacrifice of WLB? Obvious pay is really good but are the prestige and pay worth it if you’re planning on only doing it for a couple years?

Currently working at an IRA with great WLB. Honestly I love my job, the firm, and people I work with.

Also doing MBA part time at a T15 school. Thinking about switching to IB but I’ve done my research and I think I would burn out of IB in two years but I might be ok with that for the opportunities after.

Are you aware of the CPA exam credit extension to 2021 for NY CPA candidates impacted by COVID19? It’s on a person-by-person basis and you need to request the extension. Seems companies are not learning, even after the great resignations.. the big names... Like TCS, ibm.. are not doing any changes to their work culture and ethics to improve WLB.

I would just like to take this time to tell everyone that no matter what your role is, or who you work for.. that we work to live, we don't live to work.

I understand that statement has some degree of privilege.

However when things are all said and done, a lot of us won't be worried about the extra dollars we made or an additional title we got, but what we were able to do with the time we had.
