Can anyone share experiences working at iHeart?
Can you share more about your sales experience? What exactly in retail/hospitality? And would you be willing to step into a more junior sales role to switch to tech?
Absolutely, Retail Experience - 1 Year Experience
Restaurant Industry - 9 Years experience
I am 100% willing to accept a junior role. Ultimately, my goal is sales leadership.
I choose to learn over jumping hurdles every time. If it's junior, I'm here to accept it with open arms!
Sorry to be transparent - but Tech sales are both hot and complex and difficult. Just because someone has been in "sales" (hospitality, retail, automotive etc) - does not give them the "bio" for Tech Sales. Just like someone in Tech Sales would not have the "bio" to go into Investment Banking Sales...
At the end of the day, sales is sales.
If you can build trust, ask questions for understanding, find pain, and provide a solution, you can sell anything.
If you have a bio for “sales” that is what matters.
What are you wanting to chat more about?
Here’s how you can find people connected to and talking about AWS sales opportunities.
I know nobody owes me their time! But I'd really just love to understand a more transparent "day in the life" really about the many different roles.
The more people I am able to encourage (from their specific role) to share their wlb and what makes them successful/not successful, the better understanding I'll have of the role.
Also, I appreciate you. Day by day I am learning to utilize linkedin so I thank you so much!

Why only AWS? You could parlay your retail/hospitality knowledge and sell software at a start up for those types of businesses. There would be value in your knowledge and relationships in the industry
To answer, you're absolutely right. It doesn't have to be AWS. As long as it is cloud sales I am one hundred percent involved!
Also, great point, being that I have experience in this domain I imagine that I can step into a new sector and challenge myself to walk in new shoes!
I'd love to learn and immerse myself with what will transition into why the world is getting behind the cloud, rather than covid having such an impact on an industry that is quite back and forth right now :)
