Is it true that less than 20% of engineers are women, even when there are so many programs specifically focused on getting females into STEM fields? It seems like it should be more evenly distributed

That number is wholistic. If you look at the demographics for engineers say 30 and younger it’s much more equal. Many of those initiatives weren’t in full swing for other generations of female engineers

There’s some interesting studies that show women leave engineering in greater numbers than men. After getting their degree and after working 5-8 years in the industry. It’s still not a welcoming space for most women.

Eve still. I don’t see as many young women engineers over here. I think that we’re headed in the right direction as far as inclusivity but the engineering field is much more male dominant, however I do see more women in engineering management positions

As a woman and engineer myself, I think that the post secondary initiatives to attract women in STEM are there, but the companies’ initiatives to RETAIN women when entering the workplace can improve.

And any other tips on breaking into full time editorial.

Hey there! First post here 😊

I've done a lot of self-work this year re: where I've been most successful and fulfilled over my last ten years.. I'm 32 and have been in sales, sales leadership, and business leadership (I've been a ceo and am currently head of sales at a start up).

All that said, I'm looking for some words of wisdom on how to pivot to sales ops, Rev ops, or GTM strategy. The latter probably being my preference.

References, wisdom, and general advice appreciated!!
