I’m getting ready to start my FT position as a HUC (Health Unit Coordinator) in Labor and Delivery. I know it will be a while before I do anything of the sort, or IF I do anything of the sort. But I wondered if there were any other HUCs on here who crosstrained? (Wether as a PCT Patient Care Tech, Medical Records, or Telemetry?) was it worth it?

I am currently interviewing for an in-house position and part of the process, if I get that far, is that they give you an issue for you to work through and then you present your response to a panel a few days later. Has anyone else been through this? What kind of questions/issues are typically given to a candidate? This is for a compliance position at an insurance company. Just trying to prepare ahead.

Just got an offer letter saying bonus is discretionary but doesn’t give a range or any %. Is that common or can I ask them for a % floor?

Also, during the interview we discussed $ amount I get per deal, but the offer letter just says it’s at management discretion. Is this common?

I have less than 6 months left on H1-B and my firm is in process of applying for extension. Also I am in middle of interviews to switch. Lets say I get an offer - would my next employer be able to apply for transfer + extension in one go/ same petition or would they have to file 2 separate petitions? In case of the latter, would it be beneficial to first get my extension and then have my next employer file for extension only. Any thoughts?

So I left B4 risk assurance because I found the work a drag and moved to a boutique place where I was hoping to get a better experience or shape my career the way I want.

However, this place isn’t what I was expecting and the project I’m on requires deadly hours and is staff aug. I’m looking to do this for a year and go back to b4 (as I like being in a bubble) but a different service line. How possible is this?
