Comp at AlixPartners and Alvarez... go!
AlixPartners can you please share about the TC and WLB for new parents?
I'm approached by the AP recruiter and in the final interview process for an SVP role (digital practice).
Already have two other offers (Strategy @ Walmart, 300K TC, and Marketing@ Amazon, 220K TC). 10 YOE
1. Will AP's SVP TC be higher than $300K? What's the breakdown?
2. Would you choose AP over Strategy @ Walmart or Marketing @ Amazon?
3. How difficult is it for new parents? I still want to spend time with my newborn.

That's a big jump and a solid offer for Manager. Heck yes!
Yes. I love my sector NSS. Life at GH is based on account team.
lol I love how much less I get paid as a homegrown Manager
When I was a homegrown Manager I was making $101K... you get seriously penalized when you're promoted internally
Jump, I get paid 150 as S3. Up for manager and expecting mid 160’s.
No, although my bachelors was Comp Sci. I came in as experienced hire from Deloitte. Also worth mentioning I’m T3 city.
I’d try and see if EY will come up on your current base. I was at GH from the PwC days and it’s become such a train wreck. Obviously that comp number is good, but the culture is a mess. It’s PE-owned so benefits are atrocious and Partners don’t really have much influence anymore
I got offers with way worse benefits then Guidehouse when I left. Y’all would be surprised but there are many big reputable companies out there with worse benefits.
Yes, then refer your boi!!!

Hey BAH1, feel free to DM me if there’s a role you’re interested in
Probably not. Wtf is guidehouse?

Honestly I know of guidehouse bc of their PWC history.
What is FTI though? Sounds neither tier 1,2, or 3.
For anybody homegrown, I highly recommend applying elsewhere even if you don’t want to leave - you can easily leverage a higher offer to bring up your value here at EY as a market adjustment.
Would anyone be willing to provide a referral for EY? Current pay at D is awful.
Just like anywhere, your experience at any firm is largely dependent on your practice/project team. I'm at GH and am very happy. For that big of a raise to jump firms though, I would try to get the firm to match, and if not, jump ship. We're not talking 5-10k... your ~30k can change your lifestyle by quite a large margin, IMO.
This really made me ponder about this consultant 2...
I can’t help but feel guilty about leaving gahhhh

I’m a SC1 at EY making 140k so you should leave as soon as you can tbh
Hell no. I moved from ey to Deloitte for much more.
That’s my plan.
What’s EY manager equivalent at KPMG?
Yes
OP what practice you in that seems low for a manger salary?
Testing
Depends on your practice area
