Is there any interview after probation period?
I was in the final stages of an interview with Microsoft two weeks ago, in partner marketing. Then the recruiter told me they were putting the hiring process on hold to assess the need for the role. Well, then we heard about Microsoft layoffs last week. Seems like most were in Xbox and Project Alpha but there’s not a lot of information out there. Should I hold out any hope that I’m going to get this job? Any insights on how much these layoffs have impacted the marketing org and/or new hiring?

Really dependent on practice and group, I’m in strategy commercial healthcare and I like it
I’m in public health sector and have a great team/ leadership. It’s very dependent on the team and your project.
Depends on the project. My project is a train wreck but have heard good things about others. Currently undergoing policy changes for some things (like switch from PTO to DTO) which is kinda crappy. So yeah mixed for sure. I’m an SC and have been here since Jan
Navigant was great until a PE firm took these firms in house. They’re going to milk it dry, all perks are being slowly taken away. Stay away, per my friends there
I wouldn't recommend. Being able to witness the transition from Pwc to the navigant merger, corporate perks/benefits continue to decline. Most leadership I've interacted with are not great and the projects I supported weren't ran efficiently. I've heard of pockets of good, but overall do not think it's a good long-term move. You'll get a great pay bump I imagine, but many I have heard say it's not worth it and count the days til they hit a year and look for exit opps. I knew several whom joined and left for better opps within 3-4 months
What perks are getting taken away? Curious how it compares to elsewhere
Following, is the pay way better?
I'm a SC at Guidehouse making 90 k got hired last year so it depends.
If you can align yourself with people / work you like and manage to stay staffed within that realm, I think you can carve out a good experience for yourself. That said the firm itself feels very disjointed, the legacy navigant culture is eroding, I’m not impressed with the leadership, and the stinginess is demotivating.
