I love the open racism in these comments. Keep going boys. "7 days without a homicide." You KNOW this guy is a white supremacist. The one thing you can count on from these guys, is out front bigotry and hate of "the other". I love that.

Where are these numbers coming from? Takes a lot longer than that to compile crime stats…

I went to that site, and when I search crime statistics just now, all it gave was biennial numbers. The “current” site was unavailable.

DC deserves it for years of juking the stats. I actually believe crime is dropping because the murder rate is dropping (the only metric they can't fudge) but after years of them also claiming crime was nonexistent, while while the murder rate shot up, my sympathy for the progressive establishment is pretty much zero.

Hi Fishes,

I gave my various rounds of interview in Deloitte USI 2 months ago, and since then till last Friday it was showing " interview in progress" on their job portal, HR said earlier that we are interviewing other candidates. I got an offer from Amazon last week and asked Deloitte recruiter to speed up the process, i didn't get any reply on my email but now it's showing " review in progress" on the job portal. What does it mean? Shall I wait for Deloitte offer or take Amazon's offer.

Do you think we’ll ever travel again or will we be remote forever?

My wife and I are moving to Boston from overseas (we’re from Italy and we’ve recently won the diversity visa green card lottery).

We are looking to rent a 1BR starting in January, ideally for ~$3k/month. I’ll be working in the downtown area.

Do you recommend we go for a serviced/luxury apartment (e.g. Montaje, 345 Harrison, etc.) or hire a broker to get a “normal” apartment?

Any managed buildings recommendations within our budget? Also, what are some good brokers we could work with?

Thanks!

I'm a third year plaintiff's employment law attorney and I'm looking to move to defense, preferably still in employment law. I received an offer from a midsize firm that primarily focuses on PI with little-to-no employment law practice, so I'll have a bit of a learning curve. Offer is $90k, billable hours of 2100. Is this reasonable? I'm dead-set on leaving my current job, and this would be a $20k pay increase - which makes me believe I'm leaning towards taking it for those reasons only.
