I see. Fear to speak on DEI. Typical HR lack of courage.
I split hairs on this… I was living in Central America, working remotely, and was laid off. I chose to move back to the states and started my job hunt.
I am white, and was told that I will not get a job because of the color of my skin. When I was completing my first application, the ethnicity question was phrased differently: what ethnicity do you relate to? I certainly related to the Latino culture, so I checked the box.
The NEXT day I was invited to a Zoom Call later in the afternoon. I was to be interviewed by both Carlos and Jaunita.
Imagine their surprise when I turned on my camera and all they saw was white bread.
Take the jaw drop a bit more when I started speaking to them in fluent Spanish to snap them out of their disbelief.
Their bias towards Casper was disgusting. How’s that for equity? My merits were never discussed, nor was my experience. All they wanted to know is where did I learn my Spanish? 
I gladly did not get the job. Reverse discrimination is alive and well.
