Yes you can ask about a resolution. They won’t share who complained because it opens up for claims of retaliation so, it’s also better you don’t know who complained, because if that person is that sensitive to a remark made as a joke, then if you do anything, they can say you’d be retaliating against them. Frustrating for sure, but I’d ask HR what the outcome is from the conversation. They most likely needed to tell you since the person came forward and this was most likely a heads up that someone doesn’t like these types of jokes.
