Wow. They put a lot of effort into finding out which department was leaking information, yet put zero effort into stopping a sexual predator who roamed their halls for a decade that they all knew about. They sure got their priorities straight over at droga.
🔝 exactly. The whistleblower isn't the problem.
I would not leak. Never have. But if I found out they were setting a trap, I'd be pretty pissed.
Sr AD They sent an email talking about what happened with the pervert Ted Royer but they did one email per department, each email had a different typo in case the information was leak, they had a way to know what department leaked the informations
They should be coming out to the industry publicly showing they stand for what's right and are committed to rectifying crap. Not more strategies for "hiding" things. (What good is a dept anyway if you don't know the exact person, even if what they're doing was commendable?!)
The Informatjon was leaked anyway but at least now everybody knows the terrible agency culture they have.
It’s not a trap unless you break fairly standard company privacy and comms policy. If you do that, I guess you played yourself. Obviously D5 was on damage control, but “trap” leak traces aren’t really a new thing.
And just forwarding an email out to whoever is super dumb anyway, so whatever.
Hahaha these two ADs defending the slimy emails. DORKS
Sorry, I had to

Well... don’t leak things is a good policy in general if you like where you work ?
They need to handle their shit privately. How did this typo business even become a public story? Sheesh what a bunch of eejits.
You think people should just be sharing internal agency comms? Obviously the subject was sketchy, but most places have policies regarding that.
Yeah, obviously they should’ve put a bit more effort into their To Catch A Predator project. But I think leakhunt is more of a client thing. I think when clients see agency leaks, even if it’s not about client business, and freak out - some more than others of course - about it, lest their precious, precious banner buying plans should become public.
Where can we read this leak?:-)
It was on DMA
