Hi all. I am looking to crack into the pe value creation space. Any tips or recommendations? Mckinsey senior EM and LBS grad with some early tenor investment banking experience; currently based in the middle east working for a public sector infrastructure player.

I work a travel job (consulting - domestic travel) and plan to move to NY/NJ soon. I know that more flights fly from JFK and LGA than Newark. Should that be part of my consideration when choosing to live in NY or NJ?

If I’m buying something online, like a camera or binoculars, is it unethical to order two competing models so I can try them out side by side and keep one with the intent of returning the other? Really tough to compare when trying to avoid physically going in store.

I have put so much emphasis on my looks (no regrets) and I actually just tallied up my spend and my head almost exploded. Thoughts on kindly asking your bridesmaids to please not give a gift? I am over the moon excited that my bridesmaids will be celebrating me and traveling for the wedding and bachelorette. I really do not want a gift from them at the wedding. Full disclosure, my fiancé and I have great paying jobs and my bridesmaids are grad students, artists, and teachers. How would you frame this? Even if they were millionaires I would not want a gift, but I don’t want it taken the wrong way.

If you have a lace wedding dress, would you get a lace veil or a beaded one? It's been hard trying to find similar/exact lace.

Any recommendations for good videographers in NYC/Tri-State? A lot of the affordable ones I find make the cheesiest videos. I’ve certainly found some good ones but very expensive. I know you get what you pay for, but there has to be someone reasonably priced out there that delivers quality work. I am splurging on the photographer so this would just be an extra.
