Differences in culture between Accenture and Deloitte? Please, only respond if you have worked for both firms. I hear D is more uptight, any truth to this? Really want your opinions.

I'm in technology and I feel the practice at D is lagging far behind ACN in terms of good people and maturity of skill set. I've met a fair share of clowns here who got in with a faked resume. Expenses are much looser. But also don't expect good ratings unless you schmooze/"firm initiate" the shit out of yourself

I guess that's kind is true, but I'd probably frame it as a more mature feeling. I did find Accenture to feel more youthful because they hired massive amounts of analysts whereas Deloitte tends to hire more advanced degree hires and SC level. Not knocking Accenture at all because I enjoyed the people and my time there. Work is very similar but culture is different. Pros and cons to both.

D is more uptight and elitist but people do have more pride in the form which is great. Work as D1 said is similar but I personally found that I got a ton more responsibility at Acn. Also way easier to work across service areas/lines but that just may be me. Acn is more frugal in terms of expenses definitely. I have had great time at both honestly

Ugh, thanks all. I really like ACN and the culture. I hear the culture here is rare, but they have been slow on promoting me. If I make the jump, it would ONLY be bc of the promo and money. Just wondering if I should try and hold out until Performance time and hope I get the promo, or go ahead and leave.

My friend jumped from acn to D for promotion and she was so glad she did. Then she referred me in from industry :)

You can always come back to ACN. Worry about this after you have an offer! :D

It's difficult to rebuild your network here. Bank on a year at level before you're considered for promotion. I would try to negotiate your offer with ACN for a pay raise. I've heard of folks who have been successful with this.

Hello Everybody,

I am a graduate from IIT Kharagpur currently working in an IT Consulting firm (Working on Siebel CRM). I joined this company on January 2021 (joining got delayed due to pandemic) but now I want to switch my company because of the work culture and slow growth rate here.

Can anybody suggest what should I do or give me referral, is there any company recruiting right now?

Hello all, I have an offer from Quantiphi and another famous travel company which is building a technical arm for themselves. Both the companies are offering same compensation. HRs are calling for offer acceptance. I am leaning towards Quantiphi as the culture is well known to me.
But I have to decide soon. Should I accept both the offers and then decline one at the time of joining. I am new to this and find this a little unethical. Can someone help?
