Most have never offered full meals, just snacks…
Pro
It’s decent but I wouldn’t pay the $50. I would much rather spend $50 at Tortas Frontera at ORD and then shoulder tap someone walking into the lounge and ask if they will take you in with them

No full meals. Basically a more comfortable place to sit and wait if you have a long layover or delay

Full meals and good service? Ha. Not in the last 50 years.
Only the international carriers like emerites served full meals. At least in pre covid days. I think also the Concorde room for BA as well.

I just went DFW to BOG and had a pretty decent chicken dish on AA and full snack baskets in the galley for the rest of the flight
*Correction: I guess I meant any decent food and experience to make it worth the cost of a day pass haha
If you have more than 3 hours at the airport, sure worth the $50ish. Anything less than that, I would probably just sit at a bar.

Admirals Club food offerings are back to normal but it’s never been what i would call a full meal. Definitely not worth a day pass unless perhaps you’re going to be there a really long time. Anything under at least 5-6 hours I’d just do Tortas Frontera (order online).
Is AA even selling day passes again?
Many delta lounges have full buffet meals. I’m not sure what you are referring to for service though. However Delta doesn’t offer day passes.

I mostly have experience with United, which is nuts mix, salad bar, soup, cheese cubes, crackers, some have sliced meets for crackers, etc. in the hubs they may have one hot dish, like ravioli. That’s just normal clubs, the Polaris lounge may be different (I would hope)
Polaris has full meals, but the normal lounge is still as you remember it
United Polaris has full service sit down meals and open bar. Only was to get in is an international flight in business though
The United lounge at ORD was pre packaged snacks only and minimal service (in December). I don’t think it would be worth the cost unless maybe stuck all day.
I’ve found Centurion lounges decent enough, the one in Miami has a mini spa service, but that’s been the standout. Others have been to busy to really enjoy.
