Ewr to Singapore direct .. 18 hours but should be fine in business class.
This the right answer!
If 18 hours scares you, take the flight from JFK with a stop
Could you please share what practice and industry this project is in that you’re flying to Singapore as a staff? Did you need a special skill set for the project? That’s my dream but I haven’t been able to get on such a project despite years of hustling / networking.
SQ is a fantastic airline and as a star alliance member works well with your existing United loyalty - fly SQ but earn UA mileage - best of both worlds. Not sure if they are still doing code shares but it’s always more rewarding to book SQ flights via United if you can on your route.
Don’t know if Singapore airline flies to NYC but it’s the best!
I flew Singapore Airlines out of JFK! It’s AMAZING. Flight was 8 hrs to Frankfurt then 13 hrs to Singapore and it was honestly the most comfortable I’ve ever felt
But I do think you should do the EWR to Singapore direct flight
NOT Malaysian. You might disappear.
^probably too soon
I did a quick work trip to Singapore earlier this year (although out of ORD). I only chose UA because I was trying to maintain GS status, but if you don't care about that, Singapore Airlines all the way!
also will be flying business class
This is not a flex at all in this bowl. It’s relevant information as business class offerings differ by airline. C1 is just being weird.
EY1 I wanted to know as well!
i’m working on an AML project and our client’s HQ is in asia.. we have small teams travel to our client every month or so and i was asked to go. there’s only one other staff (of about 10-15) that has had the opportunity to go, so i would definitely point out that it’s not the norm. and as for special skill set, i would say no especially since i started in october of 2018 (graduated may 2018). all i’ve done is just learn everything possible from my team!
risk
I'll throw another idea. Take SQ non stop there and pick a nice European city on the way home, take a stop over, and enjoy 2-3 days break.
Don’t ever take an American carrier where there’s other options What’s wrong with you
