Do LinkedIn inmail messages even work? I’ve sent over 100 and barely 3 responses. Anyone have suggestions?

Minor thing: Maybe 10 to 15 mins instead of 30. 30 can seem like a lot for an intro call, although you can easily go that long if you click

I thought inmail was mainly used for recruiters?

like

@PwC 1 do you have examples of what I could include? I usually say to recruiters that I was interested in learning more about the company, a small bit about my background, and ask for a 30 min chat. For people on teams, I say I’m interested in learning about their story and if I have some sort of connection with them, I add that in too.

Was this a rhetorical question? If not, then I would say they have a barely a 3% chance of working.

I hope you're looking for an industry job because you'll fit right in.

Mine work. But mine are all individualized with specific asks, like someone mentioned earlier 10-15 min call or specific info

Is it just me or are there entirely too many people in Business Services, specifically TC’s, who are just folks from client service that don’t want to deal with hours and travel anymore but have no formal training in the Business Services function they transition to? It seems to me very few TC’s are professionals in HR with any background, training or certifications in HR.

One of the worst double standards in corporate america.

Companies especially startups expect you to not keep interviewing when you accept a job offer. “It can deteroriate your brand.”

But companies would replace you in a heartbeat for almost any reason. Including interviewing a candidate who will replace you (you will be fired as soon as they find a person).

So companies can fuck with the little guys but we can’t look for our best interest?
