Personally i would not accept. I don't think its a good idea to accept the friend request of anyone who has that kind of power over you. You need space.
Absolutely not will assist in doxing.
Don’t do it. Think twice before letting managers follow you on Facebook. They're not there to cheer you on or offer support—they're watching. The moment you post something they disagree with, it could lead to consequences or even land you on a Performance Improvement Plan or termination. A colleague is just that - a colleague, not your friend.
A.I.
I've told people before that I like to keep my personal social media accounts private. It's not about them, but about my time outside of work being MY time. I do have a second Facebook account that I created for networking with other professionals so that one would be okay for my boss if needed.
I don't even wait for the requests.. I find THEM and block EVERYBODY I work with from the rooter to the tooter. You will not be judging me based on my life outside of work.
No
Don’t do it. He’s probably actually cool and probably means well but don’t do that. Respect the boundary.
There is no need for the intrusion other than curiosity/morbid curiosity. U see them for the better part of you waking hours and you see them more than Friends and Family. Nope. It’s not like there’s stuff to hide, but having a division between work life and personal life is a delicate balance regarding not hurting feelings (ex: not excepting boss’s request). But that division is necessary!
Nope. I block anyone and everyone from any of my socials. Including my boss. If I cant find them and they do find me and send a request I decline it and move on.
U will be judged and disliked and things will be held against you later on. I mean, what’s he/she gonna do?! Get upset bc u won’t answer a friend request?
The boss should not be trying to engage on social platforms and you should not accept.
He’s not your friend! Just someone who works with you! Non of your colleagues are your friends!
I had a boss of mine add me on social media. I make it so that some things I post they can't see but I feel like if you don't accept it or you just leave it without responding that it'll put tension into the workplace. Let your boss/coworkers think you're great friends and block them from seeing anything you don't want them to see. Win/win.
You can ignore or just delete the request...set boundaries.
No!! Under no uncertain terms. My social media is for myself and family.
DO NOT, AND I MEAN DO NOT, become friends with ANYBODY, including your supervisor, on social media. It doesn't matter how cool they are, they are not your friend, Neither are your coworkers. People like to be nosey and if you post something that somebody disagrees with, they will use it against you. Never ever mix business with so called, people who want to be friends. Business is business and that's it. I tell people this all the time, if you tell people your business, you'll never have any business of your own, because your business is now everybody else's business. I'm telling you right now don't trust anybody go to work do your job go home. That's it
ABSOLUTELY NOT. *** unless *** its a professional development account that is specifically curate towards your professional persona in the industry.
After the assassination of charlie kirk, it's IMPERATIVE to share your social media with your manager and director, ENSURE that you share your social media especially if you are antifa leftie woke scum
LinkedIn – Generally a good idea. It’s professional, so connecting with your boss there is appropriate and expected..
Facebook / Instagram / TikTok – More personal. Accepting a request could blur boundaries, so it’s okay to politely decline or adjust privacy settings to limit what’s visible.
You should ALL have your social media on access to your employers and colleagues to ensure that you CAN'T do WOKE TRANS ETC NOR CELEBRATE CHARLIE KIRK'S ASSASSINATION
Nope, and tbh, bosses should know better.
No, unless LinkedIn. I also do not list my employment on any social media except LinkedIn.
Nope.
