Why are town Hall meetings so impersonal? They are all about awards / the number of people hired. I know FCB health is large, but we never hear from people who aren’t Executives. Last town hall, when discussing inclusion efforts, there were no people of color represented and one of the 4 pillars of diversity was centered around our “reputation as an organization” (that really rubbed me the wrong way). At my last agency those conversations were always led by people of color from every level.

My agency is opening up applications for a DE&I Committee leader for the first time. This person will be responsible for overhauling how the agency approaches diversity, including employee training, internships, new business model and client communications. Been working at a startup law firm doing transactional work and recently the partner of another firm doing private defense litigation has attempted to scalp me with a base pay well above my current. I currently work 2 full time jobs & a pt contractor for 2 years and I’m currently on the verge of burnout and confused on growth.

Would you hesitate to hire someone due to typos on a business plan? My resume is spotless, & I come highly recommended by management and peers for the position. This week has been absolutely exhausting, and long story short, I noticed I misspelled “Houston” as “Huston” on the FIRST PAGE of my business plan..
