What do you guys mean “my partner”. I have 3 different partners including EDs from all my engagements.

like

Ey1 - did you really email a partner to say you were leaving and got no response

like

SM1 - yes, I emailed the head of my counseling family and one of my engagements to say I’m leaving and included my counselor and HR on the email. HR and counselor immediately spoke with me. Partner didn’t say a word. Even though HR is trying to retain me by fixing the issue causing me to quit (failed transfer), I absolutely feel that the partner’s lack of response reinforces my decision to leave.

One of my friends works as a Director in Nagarro. She has been there for 7 years and has a CTC of 42 with total yoe 17. Per current trend this is low even though she is a constant top performer. She says that even though delivery people play a pivotal role, they are not paid well. In her team, she sees technical people earning 45-50 at 10-11 yoe. So the factor is 2.5 for delivery vs 4.5 to 5 for technical roles. Per her, this is quite common in Nagarro & she is not an outlier. ctd in comments

Hi! I started at a new company 2 months ago and while I’m really enjoying my job so far, I’m having a hard time gauging whether or not I’m doing a “good job.” My role seems to be always evolving, which is fine and I actually enjoy being a support to the greater marketing team, but I feel like I need better defined targets to make sure I’m meeting expectations. Also, when I ask my boss what they’d like to see, I don’t ever get a clear answer. (Cont’d in comments)

Would I be dumb to start a PhD?

I just finished my MBA. I’d never even considered my masters until my employer paid for it. My MBA helped me get a huge pay rise and I’ve just settled into a new role that I love.

I’ve just been offered a full scholarship for a PhD in a topic I am passionate about, already an active advocate for and with academics I sincerely admire. The topic is directly for a study I already contribute to every year.

I want to do it, but don’t want to f*ck the rest of my life
