I was very excited for $250k, and $500k - bought a designer wallet and a $2k watch at each milestone respectively.
Got to $1m and it was just another weekday lol
I’m considering a preowned Porsche Taycan now, so those splurges might become real haha
I just passed 2MM net worth (brokerage + retirement accounts). Yay! I am going to take a random day off on Friday, go on a long run, get a massage and then date night with my husband!
Just hit 500k and booked myself a solo trip to Italy 🥂
My wife knows I’m going to the Brisbane Olympics in ‘32!
I’m closing in on 7.5M NW. when it happens, hopefully in a few months, I’ll celebrate with a Starbucks latte. Tall.
Go crazy and get a Venti
I definitely do! I have a running wish list of things I want that I don't buy because I'm working on my financial goals. When I reach a milestone, I buy myself something from the wish list. It's a little counterproductive to celebrate financial wins with financial waste, but oh well!
I splurged on a non-hh craft IPA
Bought small gold coin as investment after hitting 1M. Will buy another when we hit 2M
This gold coin thing is actually going to become more difficult. Now it’s 3x the price. Maybe one of those chocolate gold coins for $2m
Our big one is in sight. It’s all gravy after that.
I should hit 1.5M next week when the next stack of LTIs hit. We won't do anything special since we celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary over the break, and let ourselves have a real vacation (including shopping for me, a new wedding band for hubby, and two fancy dinners). All in it was under 10k, but the most we've done for us as a couple in ages❤️
I do!
Poured two fingers of a good bourbon neat.
I hit $1M in Nov 25, and I’m coming up on $1.5M soon. Wife and I celebrated with a high five. I know that sounds silly to some, but the plan is to payoff the house in about 4 years, while pushing for $2-2.5M, and pull the chute. Probably buy the wife a new car to celebrate when we eject from the rat race.
I personally don’t but I think its great others do. It’s nice to take the time to recognize your accomplishments
No, just waiting for actual retirement
I'm celebrating at 1.8M (rounding up!) because I've grinded a lot lately and want to treat myself. I'll splurge on a fancy prefixe meal or ordering anything I want on UberEats for a comforting night in. Maybe home decoration too.
I bought an apartment at $1.5MM
$1m - car
$1.5m - new house
$2m - Swiss trip, house upgrades, watch
$3m - another car
I would have probably done the trips anyway but for $1m it coincided with a trip to Morocco. And then I went to Egypt/Dubai and bought a necklace I wanted to celebrate.
I retired
I will once I hit $3m which is coastFIRE.
I’m thinking a new car…
