Do you have a side hustle? It seems like every single person in this hospital has one (IV hydration, aesthetic nursing, Etsy shops). I’m exhausted after my 3x12s, but I feel like I’m falling behind financially because I’m just working my staff job. How are you all finding the energy to run a business when we can barely find time to pee during a shift?

I could use the extra money, but I don’t really have time for a side hustle. If I could find something that didn’t eat up a lot of time and energy I would be all for it though. Suggestions?

I used to work days in a nursing home every other weekend passing meds and doing dressing changes. It was exhausting working 12 days in a row, but I was a single mother. I was younger and I had to survive. For me, the key was getting my master’s so I could get better jobs outside of the hospital for more pay so I didn’t need a side hustle. I met this goal and now have much better work-life balance!

When I was working two full-time jobs, I did it because I had to. It was either that or completely default on my student loans. I found the energy through caffeine and no other choice. Thankfully my loans are paid off but it was a tough time!

I like to trade stocks as my side hustle.
It can be good and bad. It absolutely adds some stress to your day.
Overall has been more good than bad for me.
Good luck to all

Im a RN and took on a new role working in Home Health. I need a job that’s flexible for the kids but pays >$44/hr. Maybe remote or hybrid? Please help w/ suggestions.

Hi fishes, My timings are from 12 to 9 and HR is asking us to come thrice a week and also spend more than 4 to 5 hrs in office and then go home and continue from there. This will create a huge problem if they start calling daily. Anyone else facing this issue? Can anything be done for this? Since i have joined this organization everything seems weird here.
