Wanted to highlight Prudential Financial’s hiring practices. They rescinded my offer once I attempted to negotiate the salary. The official reason given was that I didn’t “sound excited enough”.
They then admittedly gave the offer to someone who was less qualified. There were other red flags throughout the job offer process that the HR team should overall be ashamed of.

Edelman has 12 weeks fully paid, though you can take up to 14 off with your job guaranteed. You also can take advantage of "gradual return," which is a four week period after paid leave where you practice coming back to work. It's a time to come back slowly to work life, not be client facing, and make any adjustments to childcare you may need. You need to use PTO or sick time though for gradual return.
Can you please also include your agency and if there is a waiting period 🙏
Recently announced a new policy, now four months fully paid. Gender neutral, for any new parent.
FMLA is the law for places with 50+ employees. I’m more interested in anything outside that, for example 18 weeks off (Starbucks corporate employees) vs 12 weeks or any flex time for working moms as they transition back to work. I’ve seen Amazon is doing some interesting things with their parental leave and curious to know if any agencies are too.
4 months, very grateful.
3 months but it’s a new policy. I think it’s two months totally paid and then one month mostly covered depending on how long we’ve been there I believe there is anew law that requires a minimum to be given. Look up FMLA.
I see. Def following along then!
We have an insanely bad policy. Like, embarrassingly bad.
Ours is bad. 12 week’s FMLA. Paid coverage depends on your tenure with the company. If you’ve been there 2 years or less you get 4 week’s paid and have to fill the rest with PTO or furlow.
Look up fmla and preggo leave. I took 6 months off. In Ca you can take up to 7 if u do it right.
If you are in NY, there is a new state policy that entitles you to an additional 8 weeks of job protection... can be taken any time within the first year. The pay (paid by state) is pretty low but if you can swing it - or if you need the time - it’s a good benefit.
Our agency has 12-14 weeks covered (depending on birth method) if you’ve been there 1 year+. I think you get more if you’ve been here a while (5+ years or something like that)
12 weeks but only for moms
6 weeks for dads
We have basic FMLA, first 4 weeks paid then partial pay the next 8 weeks depending on your tenure. So bad.
@SAM1 - that’s even better than basic FMLA (which is sad!) Basic is usually 6 weeks at 2/3 pay and nothing after that
Just this year our company went from 12 week’s unpaid, to 12 week’s fully paid maternity leave. Huge win for us, as we are a small company!
