I was in banking for 13 years (just transitioned to healthcare again) and I love Zelle, but not every one uses it. Some banking institutions have really low daily limits which makes it inconvenient to use. Wells Fargo & Chase(the banks I use) have descent daily limits(around $1500/day). Credit unions and some of the smaller regional banks have much lower limits(around $500/day). I had several clients who preferred using cashapp for this reason, but I have heard that Cashapp is making it harder to use the money once it's in there. My son used Cashapp to save for a laptop. He tried to pay for it and Cashapp made him jump through a bunch of hoops to prove his identity in order to make the purchase. I'm glad they have implemented some security measures because there's been a lot of fraudsters out there lately, but it does pose a challenge when trying to use your money. Anywhoo...that's my two cents. Hope this helps! 🙃
I use Zelle the most by far to send money to friends and family. Venmo is a distant second. PayPal is an even more distant third.
Zelle. I don’t understand how Venmo is still surviving.
I use venmo once a month. It works for some people. They also have a debit and credit card so I assume that's how they are making something.
Zelle for the most part though
I use zelle the most. My friends probably use Venmo. Family - zelle. Clients.. not too sure.. that depends on age.
Zelle. Always Zelle. I worked in retail banking long enough to hear horror stories that would make you swear off third-party payment apps.
I’m not putting my personal or financial info into a random payment platform if I can help it, especially for sending money to friends, family or any other party. Ever tried getting someone from Venmo on the phone? Or PayPal? Total nightmare.
If you don’t use Zelle, no problem; I’ll send the payment, and you can log in to claim it. Otherwise, it’s an IOU.
I have all of them but I only really use Venmo. Every now and again I will use Cash app. I will say all my family uses venmo and most of my friends as well.
