My office has 6 windows in it, across 3 sides with the fourth side having the doorway - I positioned my desk in the middle of the room so I can have a stretch of wall behind me and don't have to look like I'm in the witness protection program on all my video calls.
My window is to my left. Best of both worlds of being able to look outside and not cringing from the sun hitting behind the computer

I've an L-shaped desk. Before sit to stand desk window was on my left. Now i have to have the window with my STS. Prefer looking out my widow to it being on the side, except when the sun gets low and shines directly in. But that's what blinds are there for.

Facing. But I need to pull down the shades when it’s too bright and now wear sunscreen daily
I had it facing my window, but apparently the backlight is not good for your eyes. I ended up moving my desk against a wall but don’t like the lighting or staring at an empty wall.
In front. I like seeing what’s outside of the office and with today’s wfh situation I don’t look all washed out with the light from the day
