Citi - SVP Salary Expectations for Tech / Controls
Looking at some SVP roles for technology / controls in the Southwest region. Glassdoor indicates $185-240k as range base comp, and target of $185-205k for average base. Is that accurate?
Glassdoor also targets $40k for variable comp. average. Is that accurate?

Kauai! It's beautiful and not as busy as the other islands (although with COVID, not sure how busy the other islands actually are)
The vaxx isnt instant 100% teflon kevlar protection. You can both get and give COVID even after being vaxxed. People's attention spans are so short - they dont read into what these vaxxs are versus not.

I know that. But it helps make it a bit safer. Hawaii is requiring negative tests to avoid quarantine and with flights requiring masks, it significantly cuts down on transmission. We both have N95 respirators as well.
And in addition, if COVID cases don't start to go down by then, we're prepared to cancel.
And trust me, I know exactly what these vaccines are and are not. My wife works in the medical field and we have numerous friends who do as well.

If it’s your first time, Kapalua in Maui is wonderful. Waikiki Beach is also nice for first timers but my favorite is the Kailua/Lanikai Beach area. It’s just so chill. Go enjoy one another and enjoy kicking around with nothing planned.
Congrats. Parenthood is full of joy and you’re sweet to treat your wife to this nice getaway.
Hapuna Prince on the big island.
Amazing entry/lobby. And we had the beach to ourselves most of the time.
Big island is mostly unpopulated and has Kilauea.
Here for suggestions, will plan something similar!
Wife and I stayed at the Wailea Beach resort (Marriott property) in Dec 2019... it was upgraded a few years ago and all the amenities are amazing and so are the staff!! we stayed there for a week and got upgraded to the presidential suite since I was ambassador elite back then. We will go back for sure post covid.
Just got back from Maui. Given the testing and the general culture of respecting the Covid rules, it felt really safe. We also stopped in Waikiki (stayed at the Laylow with a couple free night certificates). I wish we would have just done two more nights in Maui as it felt like true paradise. In Maui we did Airbnb’s in Kihei, Kula and Lahaina. There were benefits to this since we had full kitchens, W/D, and free parking. You’ll want a car, and probably won’t want to eat every meal out / will want to keep beer cold so you should weigh this option. Plus, we had more control over the view. If you’re paying with points, I get why you might do a resort, but otherwise they’re quite pricy as well.

I agree about Mama's - I think Duke's is better for a sunset meal.
Among the 4 islands that I have visited kauai has to be the best. It is unparalleled.

Which island?
Wailea Beach Resort is an incredible property to consider for Maui

I loveddddddd Maui! We stayed at the Marriott Wailea Beach Resort and got one of the rooms with the lanai. Mama’s Fish House was amazing and we had fun at Maui Brewing Company.
Beware of the big cocks though.
You think you’ll be able to get the vaccine by then as a layman?

I've heard about this all over the country - if a vial of vaccine has come up to temp, it needs to be used within a certain amount of time or it has to be thrown out because it won't be effective, so people in the right place at the right time to get what would otherwise get thrown out are able to be vaccinated.
