Do you really need a clearly defined goal with OE? I don't think you do, but a general idea of your "why" can provide some guidance.

I read an article that said if you don't have a clearly defined goal, you become indecisive, fatigued and burned out. I think having that mindset sets you up for failure. Change my mind.

1. Current salary is 140K with ~10K variable comp. If I wanted to at least match, it would require me to be in Step 5/6— is that possible/likely or would I have to start at Step 1?
