On the topic of intimacy with partners… I’ve been with my boyfriend for 2 years and the past year his libido has dropped to zero. Mostly due to work stress (he says). Whenever I try to initiate, he always shuts me down and says he’s not in the mood. I even touch him and he gets hard but stops me as soon as I try to unzip him. My sister might divorce with her husband, they have a baby of 1.5 year. We came from a divorce family and honestly never thought it would happen again - I feel powerless and I don’t know what to do. Buying a condo with an HOA - what’s the average reserve % you’ve seen? My HOA is 23% funded, and recently raised dues.

I miss music. Like actual bands with instruments and vocal ability. Feels like the music industry is so hollowed out that multi-member instrumental bands like Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, and even Metallica are no longer able to take root.

There are a few talented individual singers (Adele) a lot of awful mumble rappers, but no actual bands that will stand the test of time. Before I get called a Boomer, the problems with the music industry for new artists are well documented.

Chris Stapleton might be a cool guy. Maybe he has some good music. But every time I hear him sing “drive on” during a Ram commercial I want to punch him in the face. Ram has overplayed that one.

Case 1: complaining about a date insisting on picking up the check as it makes them feel less independent.
Case 2: agreeing on 50/50, then being upset about why the date never picks up the check or treats them after 3 months of dating

In both cases, posted 5 days apart, they were advised to find someone else as it seems their date doesn’t respect their values (case 1) or value them enough to spend money on them (case 2).

My LinkedIn feed was absolutely filled with layoffs today. What happened? A month or two ago it was a candidate’s market and the offers were great but now everything has shifted. I was informed that I am not getting a promotion that I was gunning for, and when I pushed back about being fairly compensated for my work the response about it not being a good time to ask was really ominous. Anyone else feeling bummed?

Remembering the phrase boomer doomer still makes me laugh

Going through a rough patch, mental-health wise. I have always been a high performer and dont back down from challenges. But this past month something feels off in my head and I have 0% motivation for anything at the moment. Brief run down: work-stress, meeting expectations, fear of failure, imposter-syndrome, negative self-image (probably from all the time I spend on IG… might need therapy. 🥲
I don’t know what went wrong, but I don’t think I’m the only one to have felt this. Sorry for the sads!
